The Church Conference has considered a proposal that tho Colonial Missionary Society shall m fuluro devote its income to temporary grants for new work m populous colonial centres. The Rev. Mr Bsvan declared that Now South Wales, Victoria, and South Australia did not require assistance, but that Northern Queensland aud Western Australia needed help, which the other colonies should render.
