Sir,— -It may be information to many of your readers to know that tho " Rvorlasting Pea " (LatJtgrus silvestris platypAi/U us syn. L. lalifolius) is a broad-leaved variety of the new fornge plant Latliyrus gilveslris. Tho genus Lallujms is vory nearly allied to tho vetch (vicia), und some botanists contend that tho common pea (Piston), be.ttoi 1 known as green peas, should bo included wit h La/hi/rus, 60 it will bo seen that aa ft food plant it is vory well connected. L. satieus, on annual, m much grown m southern Kurop-j both us food and forage. I should think that ns tbo variety gives vevy much larger foliage than tho typo that it would bo much the bost for cultivation, a3 it is also more robust. I am, &,c, A.B.L.
