THE OAMARU ELECTION. VICTORY FOR THE MODERATES.
(By TittEGßApn.) OAMABU, June 16. The polling for the election of a Lioensing Committee took place to-day, and resulted m the reversal of tho previous decision of the ratepayers. The polling was as follows : — for the Moderates, 1567 ; for the ProhibieionUts, 10S2. The number whs polled at last election was 849, and on the present c ccasion 491.
