Sydney, June 18. The secretary of tho Australian Shearers Union has telegraphod to tho leaders o the unions m Queensland requesting then to urge the mon out on strike not to dis band, but to maintain the strike. Th secretary also wired- a money order fo £1100, with a promise that he would seui another £1000 to-day. In the course o an interview the secretary stated tha even if the mon m Queensland were de feated, thetermsoffered by the Pastoraltats Union would ba determinedly resisted b; the shearers' unions iv Victoria and Nei South Wales. Brisbane, June 16. The Government have decided to assis those shearers who are willing to relun to work, and will supply them with ration ■until they obtain employment.
