A few road car 3 Btarted yesterday morning but returned to the stables at mid-day. Despite the efforts of the police the traces of several of the busses which were running were cut, windows were smashed, and drivers were forced to return with their vehicles to the stables. Two of the busses were rushed by the crowd and overturned. Several of the strikers have been arrested for intimidation. Burns was among the number but he was subsequently released. Owing to the horsekeepers having beeu called out, ten thousand horsea are threatened with starvation. (Special to Press Association.) (Received 10.20 a.m., June Bth.) London, June 6. The Trades Council support the action of the Omnibus men m striking for twelve hours a day. (Received 11 a.m., June Bfch.)) June 7. The directors of the omnibus companies are firm, Two thousand busses are idle. Gibraltar, Juno 7. The bakers here have struck, and there is much suffering among the poor m consequence.
