Mr Eddy, Commissioner of Railways, admits that he]has received large inducements to undertake the entire management of the Caledonian Company's railways, but does not feel satisfied to throw up his present commissionership until the term for which ho was appointed is completed. GENERAL ELECTION. A Gazette has been issued dissolving Parliament, and the writs will be is3ued to-morrow. The first election will be held on the 17th instant, and the last on July 3rd. THE MISSING STEAMER. Steamers have been despatched from here and Melbourne to search for the missing steamer Tatatamunga.
