The nautical enquiry into the circumstances connected with the loa3 of the ship Craigburn has concluded. The court found that the disaster wa3 due to the default of the captain, he and the mate being incapable through liquor. The pilot was exonerated from blame. THE QUEENSLAND LOAN. Brisbane, May 29. In connection wi£h the failure of the Queensland loan it is stated that the Bank ofEngland being fully possessed of tha facts has expressed ito villingness to assist the colony to promptly meet its engagoments, and therefore no difficulty will be experienced m meeting payments due on July Ist. AUSTRALIAN POLITICS. Sydney, May 29. The want of confidence debate was Bomewhat dramatically brought to a close at midnight. On a division being taken the Ayes were 63 and Noes 63, and the Speaker, giving the casting vote m favour of the Government, declared Mr Dibbs' vote of censure lost. Tha House then adjourned until Tuesday. THE TEKAPO. The Tekapo arrived from Wellington late last night and anchored off the quarantine station. The reason the vessel did not come up to the wharves has not yet bsen ascertained. (Received 1.10 p.m., May 29th.) The Tekapo had one case of measles on board. The vessel was released after being confined for two hour 3at the quarantine grounds.
