NOTICE OF INTENTION TO MAKE RATES. fTIHE Oounoil of the Borough of Timnru JL purposo making the following Rates, at a Special Meeting to be held on MONDAY, the 23rd June, 1890, that is to say : — That an Annual General Bate of Fourpence m the Pound Sterling be made on tho values of tho rateable properties, aB appearing on the Valuation Bolls for tho Borough, now m force for tho year 1890. That the following Water Bates be made : — In reaped of the Ordinary Supply upon all lands and buildinga to whioh water is supplied whoßO rateable value on the Valuation 801 l Does not exceed £12 10s, a rato of ton shillings per annum ; Exceeds £12 lOe, but dooa not exceed £300, a rate of five por cent on suoh valuo ; Excoods £300, a rato of four per cent on fluoh valuo. Upon all lands and buildings to which water can be, but ie not auppliod, Bituato within one hundred yards from any part of tho Waterworks, a rate of ono-half of the rates abovo mentioned. Upon all buildings used as stores or warohoused, or for any purposo other than d dwolliug-houne. a rato of Z\ per cent on the raloablo valuu. Providing that any dweUing-houao remaining aotually unocoupied for not loss than six months m any year, if the owner or occupior gives notice m writing to the Council of tho dates on whioh tho same becomes vacant and on which it is again oocupied, a rate of only one-half tho amount otherwise payable.
