All kicks at goal resulted m failures. Tho matoh committee, nut m tho ovoning and picked the team to reprosent the Timaru Vootball Club m lho match against tho Waihi Club m Timaru on Saturday. Thia ia the second match played for tho premiership of South Cantorbvry, the first being played last Saturday at Winchester, botwoen tho Temuka and Waihi clubs. The game was won by the Wuihi team by a goal and (our tries (7 points) to nil. Trieß wero obtained by Knlaughor (3), A. Hart, nnd A., Stowart. Judging by this gnod performance on the part of tho Wnihi loam, and Timnru's buccosb over Hjdcnhnm, tho meeting of tho two tennis ought to furnish the finest gnmo ovor witnessed on tho Athletic Club's ground.
