C, began at Lords to-day. Murdoch won the toss asid elected to bat. The innings cluaed for 124, the principal scorers being Jones 34, Lyons 24, Trott 18. The weather m favourable and the wicket m a capital slate. Charlton and B'.ackhr.ni are not playing m this match. The Home team, which ia captained by W. G. Grace, includes WooJa of Cambridge. (Received 7.50 p.m., Juna 3rd.) In the first inning? of the Australians against the Marylebone Cricket Club Gregory was not out (23). Barnes took 2 wickets fDr 52, Martin 4 for 54, Flowers 1 fur 15, and Shacklock 2 for 17. Slaryiebone at the close of the dny's play had lost 6 wickets for ICO. Stoddart made 46, Gunn 31, Marchant 24, Flowers 24. Eight thousand people were present.
