NOTICE is hereby given tbat tho following Resolution was ADOPTED at a Specinl Meeting of tho Timaru Borough Council held on the 12th day of May, 1890 :— " That the Rate towards meeting interest on the loans authorised by 'Iho Timaru Harbour Board Loan Act, 1881, and Tho Timaru Harbour Board Loan Act, 1885, made by this Council, by Special Order, ou tho 17th day of Decembor, 1889, pursuant to the provieions of the said Aots, be increased from the Ist day of January, 1890, inclusive, under and in pursuance of the powers granted by tho Baid Acts, and by Beotion 146 of The Municipal Corporations Act, 1886, from ouoeighlh of a penny in the pound sterling to Ono Farlbing in the pound sterling on the capital value of all rateable property in the Borough 01 Timaru, and that the said Rate bo amended and altered accordingly." Notice is further hcroby given that a MEETING of Iho Council will bo held at 8 o'clock p.m. on tho 23rd day of June, 1890, to CONFIRM the eaid Resolution by Special Order. EDWIN Hx. NOTICE is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of tbo Council of tho County of Geraldino hold on 14th day of May 1890, a resolution to make a SPKCIAL ORDER was adopted, and tho objects of euoh Bpecial Order aro — 1. To Lovy a Special Annual Recurring B:ito of One Sixteenth (1-16) of a Ponny in the Pound on all rateable Property within the Hangitata and Orari Wator Supply District to provide interest and Sinking Fund on a further loan of £250 raised for constructing wator races within such district. 8. To fix [annual dates of Payment of such Bate for the year ending 31st day of Docomber, 1890, to be made on tho 20th Day of Juno, 1890, and in subsequent years on the Ist day of May in every year for a period of Twonty-Bii Years until the loan is paid off. And it is further notiSod that tho said Special Order will como into forco on tho 14th Day of June 1890, and tbat a Mooting of tho said Council will bo held on tho 11th day of June noxt at 11 a.m., for tho purpose of confirming suoh resolution. Tho Bate Book and a Copy of tbo said Speoial Order will remain doposited for inspection at tho Council's Office, Timaru, during offico hours until the dato of the said meeting. QPEOIAL ORDER to be niado on tho IO 11th day of Juno, 18.90, by tho Council of tho Geraldino County :— " That tho Bate towards mooting interest on tho Loans authorised by The Timaru Harbour Board Loan Aot, 1881, and The Timaru Harbour Board Loan Act, 1885, made by this Counoil by special ordor on tho 11th day of December, 1889, pursuant to the provisions of the eaid Acts, be increased from Iho Ist day of January, 1890, inolusivo, under and in pursuance of the powers granted by tho said Aots, and by Section 160 of Tho Counties Act, 1885, from ono-oighth of a peony in the pound sterling to One Farthing in tho pound sterling on the capital value of all rateable property in tho County of Geraldine, and that the said Rate be amended and nlterod accordingly.' The Rosolution to make tho above Speoial Order will bo CONFIRMED at the Monthly Mooting of tho Goraldine County Counoil to bo hold on WEDNESDAY, tho 11th day of June, 1890, and will como into forco on tho aamo day.
