Itain is badly wanted, both for the pa3tures and other root crops. The markets generally have shown but slight alteration on tho week. Wheat is enquired for, the tonnage available having an effect on ib** demand of tbe shipments com rF forward, pobably one-half is on growers account. .Farmers are inclined to sell 10-ally and on their own re3ronsibilit3', but cannot, m many oases, brinir themselves to accept tbo prii'M offering. Oats.— The domaud is slight, and no alteration m values can bo noted, farmers preferring to feed the grain m pr ferenuo to si'llins »t quotations. Barley. — Tbe same remarks as to supply and demand noted last week apply, if anything : pri:no ni.iltiv.u* t-araples'aro somewhat scarce, peas,—Prussian Blues, hand threshed, meet with a good enquiry : also white nsas for splitting purposes. Beans. — There is a f^ood enqmrv tor eiport, bnt sel!er3 are asking; more than linyers are inclined to give. Grass seed. — Bnt little doing- m either rye or cocksfoot. Potatoes. — A few sales for forward delivery have taken place. Tho crop eeems to be very irresalrir, and it is difficult to arrive at an approximate yield.
