Starting at the top of the straight, La Rose was leading on passing the judged box with Quibble near at hand, Abua and St. .Tninos together. They ran m this order to 'he north-west corner where Quibble' and Ahua closed up to tho leader, and 6t. James followed suit on Ahua. At the turn La Hose was still m front but. onco m tho straight St. James came fust on tho outsido, and with Qnibblo, was m lino with La Rose. At the rails tho latter drew out, and going grandly won a good race by a bare length s Quibble the same distance from St James ; Ahua out of it.
