Trade during the past week has somewhat improved. Atnori can beef has been rather shorter, and with botter weather prions ara decidedly higher. Homo-killed and Dutch mntton nave also been rather short and prices firmer. Tho cold tomporatnro has had a great deal to do with this goneral improvement, and trado should remain good if this weathor lasts. As soon as it changes, however, wo shall probably tavo a relapse— at all events, for a fow days. Tho prospects for tho futuro aro satisfactory. Stocks are fairly light and tho domand for frozen sheep continues fairly good m tho provinces. Wo ought, therefore, to got through the winter without having to tako very low prices.
