Sydney, Juno 0 The rosnlt of the English Dorby reached here an hour after the name of the winning horse was posted. THE ALHAMBRA CASE. In the Supreme Oourt,to-day,the action of Wheeler v. South British Insurance Company was decided. Plaintiff, who was the owner of the stoamer Alhambra which Bank whilu engaged m attempting to remove a derelict vessel outside Sydney harbour, sought to recover the sum of £0000, being the amount of insurance on the vessel. The court nonsuited plaintiff on the ground that the Alhambra was engaged m work outside of the terms of tho policy. SOUTH AUSTRALIAN PARLIAMENT. Adelaide, June G. Parliament was opened this afternoon by His Excellency tho Governor, tho Earl of Kintore. The Speech from the Throne stated that although the past season had been a bad one, yet it was hoped that tho revenue would bo sufficient to meet tho expenditure.
