THE GOVERNOR'S LEVEE.
(By Telegraph.) WBLLINGTOIT, May 6. The Governor held hii first lavee this mcrning. Thera wa3 a large ittendance. In consequence of the L'vee the Court of Appeal was adjourned till the afternoop. About twenty Maori chiefs waited on tbo Governor at one o'clock and presented an address of welcome. A deputation of We»levitn Ministers alao attended at Government house and presented Hi* Excellency with an address from the Wesleysn Conference. Lord Onslow brielly replied to both addresses. About one hundred and seventy gentlemen (in addition to those having a right of private entree) attended the Governor's levee this morning.
