CHRISTCHURCH CORN EXCHANGE. Tlio following U tho Cbristohuruli Corn Kxchango report for the week ending Friday, April -JOtb, 1&30 : — Tho Ktister holidays over, farmers onuiv m full force to dispose of their products. The consequence was that transactions took placo m grain of all descriptions, wheat being offered more, freely. Tho quantity of barley however was considerable, but was not m favour of buyers, unless whera tho quality was extra good. Cargo lines of wheat wero quitted bnt the prices barely mainfckined those of tho previous week. Shipments to Sydney aro still considerable, but late advices state tho market to be drooping, Oats arc offering m more limited parcels, aud prices are fairly well maintained. Potatoes aro now coming into notice, and several sales are reported at JS2 15s to .£3, at country stations. Tho majority, however, are talking of pitting for higher figures. Freights to London are reasonable, and thoso wanting space aro ablo to tnako very reasonable terms. To Sydney, howsver, all spacs available has been secured for some weeks to come.
