and £250 m tho North German, and £500 m the Equitable ; wheat and oats m store £1000 m the New Zealand (reinsured £500 m the North German), and £1000 m the Royal. T/ATBB. The damage is estimated at £3000. I/ATKB. The damage by fire at Messrs Fleming and Gilkison's flour mills is estimated at £40CD, The insurances amounting to £1000, are equally divided between tho New Zealand and Royal offices. This was tho first occasion on which the now water service wbb tried on a fire of magnitude, and it did fairly well. Portions of the building and engine were saved. The noted quality of tho Coffee made m the Cafes of Turkey, France, and America is cbielly due to the fact that only Fresh Rousted Coffee is used ; so that none of the volatile oil and other essentials iW lost.
