The doors of the room aro two inches thick of Chatwood's Patent Intersected Steel, and are in duplicate for use in alternate months. In the centre of the Strong Room stands an Hydraulic Elevator, which carries the Books and Bullion up into the Bank Room, where it stands during the day ub a bank fixture, at once useful and oinamontal. The top of this Elevator is one ef Chatwood's Check Safes which effectually (loses all the keyholes, and locks out even the persons having charge of the keys. Each chamber is lighted and ventilated by one i/f Chatwood's Patent "Ventilating Lamps, and fitted with interior Safes and Treasury. The floor of this Steel Room is protected by a network ef Chatwood's Patent Hydro-pneumatic Tubes, which, on being tampered with can be made to sound an alarm in Manager's Room and Police Office. One of Chatwood's Patent Hydraulic Elevaters, lifts four tons of Books out of Hb Strong Room into Bank Room in Accountant's Department, and another one in Transfer Department lifts two tons.
