June 23. An entertainment was given m Hyde Park yesterday afternoon to 30,000 children, the majority being from Board schools. All sorts of amusements were provided. The Queen drove through, the park and inspected the children oa the way to Paddington Station, whence she proceeded to Windsor. THE IONIC. Rio De Janeiro, June 22. The lonic left yesterday afternoon for Plymouth. Her cargo of frozen mutton is m good condition. FRENCH AND RUSSIAN THREAT. Constantinople, June 22. The Turkish Government received on the 20th instant, a threatening diplomatic note from both the French and Russian^Go vernments protesting against the Anglo-Turkish Convention regarding Egypt, and hinting the danger of a war if the convention is ratified. Sir Drummond Wolff, British Special Cainmissioner, agreed to extend the time for ratification of the convention by the Porte.
