SLATER, SYDENHAM HOUSE, TIMABU, HAYING been purchased by the Sou'h Canterbury Drapery Importing Company, will be conducted by them under the management of J. D. Slatbb. The S.C.D.I.C. are Direct Importers and Cash Buyers. They buy from the manufacturers direct, and m the best Home Markets. Their own Buyer i3 at present m England. They import their goods as cheaply as any wholesale house. Thoy intend conducting their business bo that Cash Purchasers will pay only Wholesale Prices, by allowing a discount off the Marked Prico, which will not be allowed when Purchases are Booked. ALL GOODS WILL BE MABKED IN PLAIN FIGUBES. The Stock comprises every requisite expected m a First-class Drapery Establishment. CLOTHING : The iS.C.D.I.C. are making arrangements for entering largely into the making of "EEADY-MADKS," to be made m their own Factory and from Colonial, more especially Timaru, manufactures. They intend telling at such prices as will be certain to establish a desired local industry.
