The Orient steamer Orizaba with the English mails to October Bth, arrived this afternoon. (Eeoeived 10.15 p.m., Nov. 32th.) Sydney, Nov. 12. New Zealand wheat is selling at 4s 2d per bushel; oats, 2s 2d; maize, per 561b5,3a 2d. Sugar Company's No. 1 pieces, £25 per ton. Pollard, lOd per bushel. Potatoes, 40s per ton. (Keoeivad 1.15 a.m., Nov. 13b1i.) THE CHIEF JUSTICESHIP. Mr F. M. Darley, Q.C., was offered the appointment of chief justice, but declined the honour. Mr Julian Salmons has since been appointed.
