ARRIVAL OF THE R.M.S. TONGARIRO AT PORT CHLMERS.

She leaves for Wellington. Xhe prv*«age from Plymouth to Taiaroa Heads had been accomplished m 39 days 17 hours 30 minutes, whilst tho actual stfaming time was 38 days 10 hours 30 minutes. She brings 28fi pusseugers, v.O of which are sulonn, 70 second cabin, and ICG third class, m addition to 2000 tons of cargo for all ports. The personnel of her officer* is unchanged with the oxception of Dr Lnwson who succeeds Dr Halstead. She left Plymouth at 2 p.m. on September 25th with 207 bugs of mails ; reached Madeira at 9.40 ilm. on tho 29th ; left again tho samo day at 4 p.m. | crossed the Equator on October 6th m long. 8.30 W., arriving at Capetown at 3 a.m. on October 15th ; left again at 2 p.m. on the tamo day ; passed tho Snares at 3.30 p.m. on November 3rd, her passage from the Cape beifag 19 days 7 hours 2 minutes.
