Jly wife took her to Inverell to see Dr , who said her throat was ulcerated low down, and lie prescribed cod liver oil and other medicines ; and also advised her to inhale tho fumes of Stockholm tar, saying sho might never recover her speech again. At the expiration of a fortnight, tbo medicine having been finished, another visit to the doctor was made, who agnin prescribed for her, but lie told inj wifo he had no hopo of h< r ever being able to Bpeak ngain. We began to despnir, but tho dny I used tho oil — about three months after sho was taken ill — I persuaded my wife, after we had retired, to use tho oil. Sho got up and gave the girl two drops in water, and rubbed it on the throat. Next morning we were delighted to find that she could talk as well as ever, and has been able to do so ever since. I remain gentlemen, gratefully yours, JA3. R. HATCHER. [Adv.] (6)
