News bas been received from Afghanistan tbat the tribes of Gbibzais Hararch are discontented witb the excessive taxation recently levied in these provinces, where they attacked and dispersed the Afghan regiment, which was escorting treasure to Oabul. RUBY MINES IN BURMAH. Rangoon, Oct. 30. An expedition has started for Mandalay for the purpose of securing the ruby mines in North Burmah, IReooived 10.5 p.m., Nov. lst.l THE MARIPOSA. The Times states that a -wholly fictitious value has been placed on many of the Queensland mines in order to influence the market. Owing to a warning issued by the Government the premium of several of the mining companies hare declined a quarter per cent. THE ENGLISH IN EGYPT. M.
