Young Wellington was first Bhown at Aehburton, as a yearling, taking first prize against five others. In 189* he was shown at Timaru and took first prize, beating five other/. At the Timaru Agricultural and Pastoral Association's Show, 1883, ho took first prize for the best bred Clydesdale Stallion, first prize for All-aged Stallions, and the Champion Prize asainst the field ; at the Timaru Show m 1884 he took first prize, and again m 1885 he took second prize.
