BULGARIAN CRISIS.

The elections of the Grand Sobranje or National Assembly, for the choice of a Prince of Bulgaria, commenced yesterday throughout all the country. At one place m this city, a body of a hundred and fifty peasants, acting under the initiative of M. Neklindoff, the Russian Consul, attempted to obstruct proceedings. A serious conflict resulted between the adherents of the Regency and the supporters of the Consul, ntfL in the melee many persons yrere wounded. The disturbance i»
nssuming a serious character. The gendarmerie ware called, out and the rioters were dispersed. Later. The Government party are securing a crushing victory at the elections, and will have a large majority m the Sobranje. Theßussian Consuls m the principal towns and provinces have been endeavoring to prevent the elections proceeding. (Received 1.32 a.m., Oct. 13th.) M. Neklindoff, the Russian consul at Sofia, m obedience to the commands of General Kaulbars, has given formal notice to the Bulgarian Government that the elections for the Great Assembly are illegal and valueless. He has fnrther protested at the rioting which recently took place and of the treatment which his Biipporters received at the hands of the adherents of the Regency. Zankofy, the man who proclaimed the deposition of Prince Alexander, only secured 21 followers.
