THE ASSOCIATION'S Twenty-First Annual Show OF STOCK, &c. ■WILL BE HELD OS TIIE ASSOCIATION'S GROUNDS, WAI-ITI ROAD, O>f Tuesday, 26th and Wednesday, 27th October. 1 CONSISTING OF SHEEP, CATTLE, HORSES, PIGS, DOGS, POULTRY, DAIRY AND AGRICULTURAL 1 PRODUCE, [ IMPLEMENTS, WOOL, &c, &c. PRIZES amounting to about £550 will bo given m Pieces of Plato, Aledala or Cash ; l also the following additional prizes : — A Challenge Cup, value 40 Guineas, will be givon by tbo members and friends of the Association to the largest prize-taker m Breeding Stock — Sheep, Cattle and Horses. Vico-President, Mr G. H. Rhodes, gives a cup, valuo £10, for tho best horse that \ has hunted with any recognised pack. ' Tho same to be entered m either class : 151 or 152. The Hunt Cluba of South Canterbury give a prize of £5 5s for the best Light-weight Hunter. Mr F. LeCren, on behalf of the N.Z. L. and i M.A. Company, offers a Cup of the value £10 10s, for the best pen of not less than twenty (20) Sheep m the wool, suitable for freezing for export ; open to all Farmers not occupying or owning more than 3000 acres of land, the Sheep to have i been bred and fattened by exhibitor. The Cup will not be awarded unless there be at least six exhibitors, but it will be available for tho same object at next year's show. Maximum number of points to bo 18, thus apportioned. ICarly ' maturity, 6 : wool, 6 ; carcase, 6. Special entry. Tho Association offer a prize of £5, m addition to £5 offered by Mr William Balfour. For the best Dray Root-cutting Machine, to be drawn by not more than two horses, the roots to be dropped on the ground cut to size suitable for ebeep, certainty • of nutomatic feeding, and capability o cutting tho largest quantity m a given time, to be specially considered, the dray to hold not less than locivt of roots. The Association offer a prize of £5 for a Turnip Drill, to sow from 501bs to 2001bs to an acre of Bone-Dust orSupcr-pho3phate m the same drills, To bow from 6ozs to 21bs of turnip seed to the acre, suitable to sow either lovel or down lands. Tho Association offer a prize of £3 for the 1 beat Automatic Chaff box, for feeding Bhecp, to hold not less than ten bags, to '. be wind nnd water proof, and to he easily movable. Mr James King offer 3 a first and second prize of £3 and £2 respectively, for the best yearling colt or filly, by Quamby. Mr J. Ballantvno gives a prize of £2 2s for the best Jar of Sail Butter suitablo for export. This exhibit same conditions as for Potted Butter, must be left with the Secretary on or boforo Saturday, September 25th. Mr J. Ballantyno gives a prize of £2 2s for the best Cheese suitablo for export. Mr A. Grant offers a prize of £3 for the best English Leicester Ewe, with or without lamb at foot. Mr S.
