FIRE AT HAMILTON.
— : ♦ — ■ (By Telegraph.) _, Auckland, Oct. 1. The residence of Mr P. A. Whitakcr, Clandelands, Hamilton, was destroyed by fire, yesterday afternoon. The house, winch contained ten rooms, was insured for £450 m tho Colonial office. The furniture, etc., which was insured for £350 m tho same office, was mostly saved. The fire was caused by a spark from tho kitchen chimney.
