Sept. 23— Waitaki, e.g., 22a tons, Pederson, from Greymonth. BAILBD. Sopt. 23— Waitaki, a.s., 225 tons, Pedorsen, for Greymouth. IMPORTS. In the Waitaki, W. Evans, apent : 200 tons coal. Consignees — Locomotivo Department. EXPORTS. In tho Waitaki, W. Evans, agent: 300 sacks (1200 buahols) wheat, 510 sacks (2700 bushols) oats, 180 saoka potatoes, 20 sacks and 160 501 b bags flonr. Shippers— Agent : Canterbury Farmors' Aaaociation ; Timaru Milling Company. The schooner Alort, Captain Fitzgorald, left Lyttelton yesterday for this port. The s.s. Waitaki, Captain Pedoraon, arrived from Groymouth about ton o'clock yesterday morning with a full load of coal for tho Locomotive Department. She was berthed at the outer wharf and an hour after arrival commenced to dischargo. Late m tho ovomnpr aha returned to Groymonth with a cargo of wheat, oats, potatoes and flonr. The barquo Examiner, at the inner wharf, put ont the last of her coals by ton o'clock yosterday morning. Tho whole timo occupied m discharging hor cargo of 335 tons was thirteen hour 3, and considering that she was discharged within fourteen and a half working hours from tho time of her nrrivnl m port, it speaks well for tho oxcollont facilities of the Railway Department for working Bailing vessels.
