AN IMPERIAL INSTITUTE. The Prince of Wales has invited the Lord Mayor of London to open a fund for the purpose of establishing an Imperial Institute, under the permanent presidency of the Heir Apparent. The Prince considers that this would form a singnlarly appropriate memorial of the Queen's jubilee, besides stimulating emigration, expanding trade, and drawing closer the bonds which bind together the component parts of the British Empire. The Prince is confident that the most important collections m the exhibition now open would be freely placed at the disposal of such an institute. The Lord Mayor has signified his entire concurrence with the Prince of Wales' proposals. (Beoeirod 2.50 p.m., Sept. 21st.) The Press regards the Imperial Institute as a felicitous and opportune proposal.
