fept. 21. Mr E. G. Stavoley (for tho Now Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited), reports on tho livo stock aalo at Tinwald today as follow 3: — At tho Ashbnrton salo to-day about 4500 sheep and 40 cattlo were yarded. There was a good attondanco and a brisk sale. Values of sheep had improved. Good young crossbreds wero m demand. Forward crossbred wethers 0i lOd, 10s 9d, 123 ; do mixed aexev, 10s 3d, 10s 6d ; forward merino wethers Ga 9d : fat lambs 7a 6d ; medinm crossbred hoggets Gs 2d, 6a lOd ; good do, 7a Id, 83 ; merino owes m lamb, 33 lid, 5s 8d ; do with ninety per cent lambs, Gs 2d. Cattle without alteration.
