The cricket match tendered as a complimentary benefit to the Australian cricketers was played at Lord's yesterday and to-day between a selected English team and the Australian eleven. The attendance was large, and the weather splendid. The home team went m first and compiled 319, Grace being chief scorer. The Australians made 296, Jones (bowled) 67, and Jarvis (bowled) 64, being the most successful batsmen. The second innings of the Englishmen closed for 196. Abel scored 52. The Australians m the second innings lost two wickets for 13 runs. As the match was only a two days's one it resulted m a draw.
