TRAINING AND BETTING NOTES.
(Special to the Pebss Association.) [Reooivod 10.5 p.m., Sept. 17th. j Sydney, Sept. 17. Nothing important was done at Bandwick this morning. Cerise and Bluo has greatly improved m his going, but Trenton, who it being trained at Hand wick for the Melbourne Cup, moved rather Bore after his morning's spin, and is reported to be amiss. The Jewel was only out for moderate exercise, and Trident did a mile and a half m capital style. Bohemian went two miles at a moderate pace, and Monte Christo did a ; splendid performance. Bravo went twice ' round splendidly, and Lord of the Lake and The Orphan did the same distance m com* \ pany, the former finishing strongly. B.Y. did a strong gallop, finishing well. Betting — Trident has been backed to win two thousand pounds at 100 to 7. Tho Jewel is very firm at 100 to 18. Ringmaster has been heavily backed at 100 to 20.
