THE ASSOCIATION'S Twenty-First Annual Show OF STOCK, &o. •WILL BB HELD ON THE ASSOCIATION'S GROUNDS, WAI-ITI ROAD, Tuesday, 26th and Wednesday, 27th Octaber. CONSISTING OF SHEEP, CATTLE, HOK3K.S, PIGS, DOGS, POULTRY, DAIRY AND AGRICULTURAL PRODUCE, IMPLEMENTS, WOOL, &c, &c. PRIZEo O u.ounting to about £500 will bo given m Pieces of Plato, Medals or Cash j also the following additional prizes : — A Challenge Cup, value 40 Guineas, will be given by tho members and friends of the Association to tho largest prize-taker m Breeding Stock — Sheep, Cattle and Horses. Vice-President, Mr G. H. Rhodes, gives a cup, value £10, for the best horse that has hunted with any recognised pack. The samo to be entered m cither class 151 or 152. Tho Hunt Clubs of South Canterbury give a prize of £5 5s for the best Light-weight Hunter. Mr F. LeCren, on behalf of the N.Z. L. and M.A. Company, offers a Cup of the value £10 10s, for tho best pen of not Icbs than twenty (20) Sheep m the wool, suitable for freezing for export j open to all Farmers not occupying or owning moro than 3000 acres of land, the Sheep to huvo been bred and fattened by exhibitor. The Cup will not bo awarded unless there bo at least six exhibitors, but it will be available for the same object at next year's show. Maximum number of points to bo 18, thus apportioned. Early maturity, 6 : wool, 6 ; carcase, 6. Special entry. Tho Association offer a prizo of £5, m addition to £5 offered by Mr Willi»m Balfour. For tho best Dray Root-cutting Machine, to bo drawn by not moro than two horses, tho roots to be dropped on the ground out to sizo suitable for sheep, certainty of automatic feeding, and capability of cutting tho largest quantity m a given time, to be specially considered, the dray to hold not less than 15ewt of roots. The Association offer a prizo of £5 for a Turnip Drill, to sow from SOlbs to 2001bs to an aero of Bono-Dust or Super-phosphate m the same drills, To sow from 6ozs to 21bs of turnip seed to the acre, suitable to sow either level or down lands. Tho Association offer a prize of £3 for the best Automatic Chaff box, for feeding sheep, to hold not less than ten bags, to bo wind and water proof, and to be easily movable. Mr Jameß King offers a first and second prize of £3 and £2 respectively, for the best yearling colt or filly, by Quamby. Mr J. Ballantyno give 3 a prize of £2 2s for tho best Jar of Salt Butter euitablo for export. This exhibit same conditions as for Potted Butter, must be left with the Secretary on or beforo Saturday, September 25th. Mr J. Ballantyne gives a prize of £2 2s for the best Cheeso suitable for export. Mr A. Grant offers a prizo of £2 for the best English Leicester Ewe, with or without lamb at foot. Mr S.
