The Government Insurance have put int our hands a leaflet or Agents' Canvassin; Squib, which, to our minds displays th tactics of the bull-dozor and blackmailer i headed " Startling Disclosures," &c. " May's British and Irish Press Guide 1885." Consequently one is justified m saying that as arespectablo publication, tho Policy Soldo does not exist. At any rate the uso of such terms ac " rottenness," " wasteful and extravagant management," 4c, m connection with the foremost Life Office m the world is simply scandalous and impresses us as disgraceful to those who issued it. The Government Insurance may well issue such a Squib anonymously ! The only definite comparison made m the leaflet is that of comparing the total expenses of this Office with the cash dividend paid for 189-1.
