(By Telegraph.) Auckland, Jnly 27. At the half-yearly meeting of the Taupiri Extended Coal Mining Company, a dividend of 2s 6d per share was declared, and £740 carried forward. Wm. Beid, of Cambridge, haa been committed for trial, for an alleged indecent assault on a girl aged eleven. At a mooting of tbe Auckland Benevolent Society, it was decided to resuscitate it, and commence operations to relieve distress. An enquiry into the wreck of the American barquentine is to be held by Captain Webb, the American Consul. The Auckland Bugby Union have pioked tbe following team for the interprovincial match against Wellington :— J. Brown, full backj Byan and J. A. Warbrick, threequarter backs ; B. Whiteside, J. J. Pollard and Warbrick, half-backs j J. Arneil, W^ Meldrum, O'Connor, J. Spencer, A. F. Mogonnie, M. Murphy, J. Lecky, W. Veale and W. Newman, forwards ; emergencies — Mttdigan, J. B. Beid, V.
