As the Express train from Launceaton last night was crossing Bridgewater, about 12 miles from thia city, the swingbridge opened and the engine fell and got jammed against the buttresses. This prevented the carriages following, but the tender turned topsy-turvy and dropped into the river. The fireman and another person are missing, and they are supposed to have been drowned.
