The Colonial Treasurer, Mr Gillies, introduced the Finanoial Statement m the Legislative Assembly thiß evening. He estimates the revenue at £6,970,000, and expenditure at £6,910,000. The revenue for the past financial year was £6,420,000, Bnd the expenditure 1 £6,820,000, the actual surplus at the commencement of the current financial 1 year being £30,600. Mr Gillies proposes to increase the ad valorem duties upon woollen goods, piece woollenß, to 20 per cent, and made up woollens to r 30 per cent.
