Captain Anderson, who ha* been here during the past few days, has been engaged m laying off the camp. ' Three hundred tents, have been pitched,- and the arrangements, which are of course m tho hands of experienced military men, will be as complete ds it.ia possible to make them. About 2500 volunteers are expected here, the majority arriving on Friday morning. ■ The camp Ja pitched on tho HMwcoorw, nbont three mile* out of Oamaru, but is only a short distance from the railway. , Colonel .Whitmore is expected here to-morrow, A grand naval attack oa the town takes -place on Saturday, under the direction .of Admiral Scott. A numhey pf steamers will .take part' in the demonstration, wiiich will be on a larger scale than anything -of the kind ' previously held m the colony. The Hinemoa, Heleii Ballance, Koputai, B»wea. *nd. probably two other Bteamera, ■will .take part, besides the torpedo boat*. At. a meeting to-night it was decided to -postpone the regatta till the 24th of May, on account/ of tho naval display taking place on Saturday. •
