Being aware that thero is a largo amount of constructive genius in South Canterbury, which would possibly reeeivo encouragement if its productions were exhibited, tho Executive Committee caused it to be published in their prospoctus three months since, which must have escaped your correspondent's notice, that they would be glad to receive from any persons such oxliibits ns would, by their special excellence, afford to young persons an opportunity to mako comparisons and notice the shortcomings in their own work, bo that they might thereby bo induced to make further efforts towards perfection. I would ask you to canso it to bo known through the modium of your paper that the committee would also appeal to the public for loans of scientific and other apparatus, together with raro and curious articles,' from which instruction and amusement may be derived, Theso will be specially cared for.
