J.O. ■Handicap, Handicap Hurdles, and Winter Oats, at 9 p.m. Acceptances by 10 p.m. • • RULES AND REGULATIONS. No entry will be received for any of the Races except upon this condition — That all disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing Bhall be decided by a majority of the Stewards, or those whom they may appoint; their decision on all points connected with the carrying out of this programme to be final. All Entries and Acceptances must be m sealed covers, addressed to the Secretary, Timaru, and contain entrance money, sweepstakes, description, age and name of horse, and colors to be worn by the Jockey, and must be m tho hands of the Secretary, by 9 p.m. on above dates. No late letters or telegrams received after that hour. South Canterbury Jockey Club Rules will be strictly adhered to. Hack Race 3to be ridden m proper Jockey costume. In the event of a person entering a protest the sum of £2 2s must he lodged with the Secretary before Buch protest is considered, this sum to be forfeited to the funds should the Stewards consider the protest frivolous or vexatious. Five per cent will be deducted from the gross of all moneys paid m accordance with this programme, for expenses, and when not otherwise specified, all entries and acceptances to go to the funds. F.
