Three detachments competed, and all acquitted themselves very creditably. All the detachments finished within the time allowed, the scores being a3 follows : —

Tho target was mourcd about 1030 yards from tho firing point, and the practice was very fair fur a singles boro howitzer at such a range. Q.JI. Sorgt Ki"g will hold the Challenge Cup until next composition, nnd his detachment takes the Battery ordnance prize of £1 per man.
