WHICH is the most efficient, most reliublo, and most economical SHEEPDIP ? THOMAS' Carbolised Sheep - Dipping Composition Has invariably, -when applied m accordance with the proprietors' instructions, proved to be the CHEAPEST and MOST EFFICIENT DIP for either Longwool, Crossbred, or Merino Sheep. THOMAS' DIP was not only placed first at the Hawkes Bay competition m 18S3, being pronounced by tho Special Committee to be superior to the eight other specifics then competing, including Cooper's, Little's, Tomlinson and Hay ward's (Glycerine), Hall's, Jeye's, Logan and Wilson's (now Hatch's), McDougall's, and Gillard's, but the report on the wool then dipped, mado at the request of tho H.B.P. and A. Association, by tho well-known Wool-brokers ' m London, Messrs Helmuth Schwartzo and Co., also placed TnOMAS' DIP AT THE HEAD OF ALL OTHERS as regards the wool, as the following extract from that report will show : — "At the conclusion of tho Hawkes Bay trials, samples of tho wool from the sheep dipped were forwarded by tho Association to London for special examination and report, and the Wool Taluer for Messrs Helmuth, Schwartze and Co., of that city gavo as his award : — Thomas' — Little or no smell, freo staple and sound ; good luetre ; soft feel. Coopeb's — Slight smell ; more yolk than m others ; fair lustre ; sound staple. Little's — Smells strong ; sfaplo strong ; rather dried up j brownish cast. Hall's — Slight chemical smell ; Btaplo quite sound ; no coagulation of greaso ; fair lustre. Tomlinson and Hatward's— Sour smell ; dried up appearance ; and dull look ; rather tender." Thomas' Carbolised Sheep Dip — for many year 3 favourably known m Tasmania and Victoria as " Hood's Specific," and now greatly improved m manufacture md valuo — when brought into fair competition with other curative agencies has never yet been surpassed or equalled. It is a cold water dip, easily dissolved, and the cost of application scarcely exceeds one half-penny per sheep, whilst a fnir application rarely fails to add one peuny per lb to tho wool. Amongst numerous letters tho following aro extracts : — From the Managerof tholTcaton Park Estato ((he property of the Trustees of tho lato Hon. W. B. Rhode;), near Wnnganui. "Heaton Park, 21st Sept., 1835. " I havo dipped 20,000 sheep with Thomas' Dip, and have found it effectual m killing the ticks and lice, with which some of the sheep wero very bad. The wool after dipping is m excellent condition, and freo from stain, and there aro fewer matted tleccos than ever I have known m my (lock. The hath t? e;isily prepared, by first dissolving the dip m hot water, nfter which it easily assimilates with oold water. H is one of tho cheapest and be»t dips I havo used, m an experience of thirty years. " I am, &c, " Kodeiit Wir.sos." " luglcwood, Fluxton, Oct. 13,1895. "Messrs Miles and Co., Christchurch. " Dcnr Sirs, — Having just had all my sheep through the yards (dipped on May 4th, 18S5), I have to oxpresa my satisfaction with Thomas' Dip. Tho wool is m nice order, and I have not seen a tick or other parasite on any of tho sheep dipped, nor have I been ablo to see a lick on any lamb tailed, whoso dam hud beon dipped.
