(Reuter's Agency.) (Received 10.30 p.m., March 30th.) COMMERCIAL. London, March 29. Consols have declined LIOO 7s 6d. New Zealand securities are unaltered. The bank rate is 2 per cent, and the market Is. Colonial breadstnffs and tallow are at last quotations. Scotch pig iron, f.o.b. m the Clyde, has advanced to 42s per ton. 10,500 bales of wool were offered at auction to-day. There was a qniet market. Low quality crossbreds exhibited a firm tendency. Merino wools showed a halfpenny to one penny lower than last sales, scoured wools about one penny lower, and low ordinary scoured about three-halfpence. OBITUARY. March 30. The death is announced at the age of 80 of Sir Henry Taylor, K.C.M.G., who joined the Colonial Office m 1824. RUSSIAN WARSHIPS ON THE MOVE. Constantinople. March 30. The Russian vessels belonging to the combined squadron at present stationed at Suda Bay, Crete, have been ordered to proceed to Smyrna.
