March 3<\ Mr X G. Stavolcy, for tho Now Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, reports as follows : — At the Tinwald Saleyarda to-day some 2500 sheep and small entries of pigs and cattlo were yarded. Sheep were mostly young crossbreds. for which tho demand was fair, and values about tho level of last quotations. Fat mix.-d crossbreds brought 7s lOd, fat ewes Os 3d, fat 2-tooths Gs (3d, good crossbred lambs 3s, 3s 10 \ and 4s Gd, inferior do 2s to 2d I<M, f.m. mcvino ewos 2s Id, cnll do lOd. Pigs. — Thero was a alack demand for pigs. Cattle were qniet, and not much bu.->inc.«s was done. Fat heifer 3 brought ,£'s ss, forward steers £& 10s, medium springers £1 to 153.
