Earl Granville regretted that at the present stage of negotiations he was unable to explain more fully the action of Her Majesty's Government. COMMERCIAL. (Received 5.15 p.m., March 28th.) Consols, New Zealand securities, colonial breadstnffs and tallow are unchanged. Total reserve m notes and bullion at the Bank of England is LU,500,000. The proportion of reserve to liability 41 per cent. The total quantity of wheat afloat for

LONDON WOOL SALES. 221,000 bales have been submitted at auction during the past two days. There is no improvement m the market. The total quantity of wool withdrawn from the sales since the opening of the series is 50,000 baleß. THE DORIC. The Shaw-Savill and Albion Company's e.s.
