Timaru Herald Offioo, Friday Evening. Deliveries of now grain continue to inoreaso, and so far the quality leaves littlo to bo desired. Prime milling wheat is m good demand, but oats are not so much enquired for. Quotations are : — Wheat, best Tuscan and Velvet 3s 4a to 3s Gd, red chaff 3s 3d. Milling oats 2s, feed ditto Is 9d to Is lOd. For barley there is littlo demand. The Canterbury Farmers' Co-operative Association, Limited, roport as follows : — Wheat. — Primo Tuscan has bean m brisk demand for oxport, and any parcola offering have mot with ready sale at 3s 3d to 3s 6d per bnshel. Other kinds are taken by millers and merchants at 3s 2d to 3s 3d for Bed chaff, and 3s 3d to 3s 5d for Velvet, delivered m Timaru. Oats. — Prices remain about tho same as last week. The ontsido demand boing limited, stocks are aconmnlating, and merchants are therefore not so anxious to operate. Present rates are m advance of thoao reported enrrent m Dunedin. Wo quote for bright long feed la lOd to la lid, discoloured Is 8d to Is lOd, short feed 2s to 2s Id, and short heavy milling 2s Id to 2s 3d, delivered m Timaru. Barley is offering m considerable quantities, bnt transactions are few, buyers not eareing to advance to owners' prices. We quote for prime malting 2s 9d to 3s. Feeding qualities are enquired for at up to 2s. OHEISTCHUECH PBODUCE MARKETS. The following is tho Christchurch Corn Exohange report for the week ended Thursday, the 25th inst. :— There has been a weakening tendency m tho grain market during tho past few days, partly on account of several large orders being completed, and partly on account of unfavourable cables from London, but wo do not anticipate that it will be more than temporary. Tuscan wheat, which was .selling on Saturday last at 3s 6d, cannot now bo qnoted nt more than 3s sd, while Hunters and Pearl aro dnll at 3s 4d, Shrivelled parcels command 3s to 3s 2d, broken seconds aro wanted nt from 2s 9d to 2s lid. Oats have been inactive at last week's quotations. Barloy has had a fair passing business m good to primo malting at prices ranging from 3s 2d to 3s 3d np to 3s (id for extra primo ; feeding lines aro selling nt 2s. Beans have been offered froely at from 2s 8d to 2s lOd, but business has not boon extensive Blue peas still command up to is for hand threshed, feed kinds 3s to 3s 3d. Grass seed is quiet. Machine drossed ranges from 5s to 5s Od, farmers' parcels 3s to 4s Gd. Cooksfoot is very weak, 3Jd to 3jd being the average price with little business doing, Derwent potatoos have been soiling at £2 for delivery off the forks, but tho majority of growers do not feel inclined to sell at this price. Dairy prodnce continues inactive at last quotations. The abovo prices are for delivery, f.o.b. Lyttelton.
