Mr Jellicoe made application on behalf of one Henry Stevens, of Masterton, who had paid money to Mr Shaw to prosecute an action. The bill for legal serrices was never rendered, andStevens alleges his casewas' thereby prejudiced. The defence is that Mr Shaw was unable to attend through illness, and that he authorised tho engagement of another professional gentleman. The argument is proceeding. Later.
