(By Telegraph.) Auckland, March 10. Mr F. J. Moss, M.H.R., addressed the electors of Parnell. He said the imperative need of the colony was to reduce the cost of Government, and the first step towards that was to reduce the number of members of the Assembly by one-half. A vote of thanks and confidence was unanimously accorded. Mr W. L. Bees addressed a special meeting of the Chamber of Commerce to-day on a scheme relative to which he proceeds to England. A Committee of the Chamber was appointed to examine as to its feasibility and merits. An enquiry into the management of the Old Men's Refuge is going on. Some extraordinary charges have been made. The Mary, a seven ton fishing boat, is missing. Sho was last seen . on Friday at midday by the fishing boat Bella May. The May, with the former, was running before a galo to Kawau for shelter. The Bella May suddenly lost sight of the Mary, and a lookout sent to the mast head failed to see any signs of her, and she has not been seen since nor heard of.
